Last night P Diddy and many of his Bad Boy artists performed a medley of their hits at the 2015 BET Awards to commemorate 20 years of continued success for the brand. Lil Kim, The Lox, Faith Evans and 112 helped make the set a highlight of the ceremony. However, many fans on social media noted the absence of Bad Boy staples like Black Rob, Loon and Craig Mack.
Adding fuel to the fire, a video of Black Rob performing at a small venue began to circulate, underlining his absence in L.A.
However, WatchLOUD.com reached to Black Rob’s reps and they explained why the Harlem rap vet was not on stage with Diddy and the family.
“Puff was only allotted a certain amount of time, so all Bad Boy artists couldn’t perform,” Rob’s manager Jemal Mosley of Off The Block Entertainment said via email. “But they will be announcing Black Rob on the Bad Boy Reunion Tour shortly. He’s filming his final scenes for the “Come Back Kings” reality show which airs July 19th on UPN, so you fans can expect to see more of Black Rob.”
Additionally, the footage of Rob performing is from a Barber Convention in Washington, D.C. which was presented by P Diddy’s barber. Rob was Rob was booked to perform there some time ago and since he committed, decided to fulfill his obligations.
So, it appears things are more than good between Rob and Puff and fans will get to see more of him soon. Rob just released his album Genuine Article earlier this year.
