Kendrick Lamar Becomes The Butterfly In “Alright” Video

Kendrick Lamar’s timely opus To Pimp A Butterfly has been defying expectations of what an album in 2015 is capable of ever since its surprise release back in March of 2015, and those expectations have been shattered once again by the video for “Alright,” directed by Collin Tilley.

The video starts off with audio clips that’ll be familiar to anyone who’s listened to this album to death, intercut with some brutal visuals. The whole TDE crew, including Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul, shows up after to give us a snippet of a trunk-knocking Sounwave-produced new song while in a car being carried by police officers. The video’s as bold and flat-out crazy as its opening, so it’d do you well to just watch.
