Five Things We Learned At CRWN With Meek Mill

CRWN with Meek Mill was last night at Gramercy Theater in NYC, and it was one of the most honest, humorous, and unpredictable conversations of the entire series. Philly was in the house as Meek and Elliott Wilson talked about the MMG rapper’s new album Dreams Worth More Than Money, his brutal experiences in jail, his relationships with artists like Kanye West and Future, and of course his courtship of former CRWN star Nicki Minaj.

The teaser video is live above and here are five quick things we took away from their talk.

1. He wants fans to know him and Nicki Minaj have a very real relationship.

Meek reminded the audience that his true fans know he would never do any fake shit. He talked a good amount about Nicki with humorous freedom. They’re the real thing.

2. He said his mom was a Trap Queen.

Meek also discussed his mom being a booster and getting fired from her job. He talks about it on the last track of the new album, “Cold Hearted” with Diddy.

3. He would have battles in jail in the middle of the night.

Meek would take part in big ciphers in the pitch black. He talked about the new guys coming through and other dynamics of battling in prison.

4. Nicki never missed a call in prison…

And Meek never told anyone in jail they were seeing each other. Oh, and YN asked Meek about Safaree too.

5. He wants to be the first rapper to put Kendrick and J. Cole on a trap beat.

He also talked about how though he thinks both of them are dope, that isn’t exactly the music he rocks with the most. You’ve got to see the video to hear him explain it.

Watch out next week for #CRWN with Meek Mill and Elliott Wilson in full.
