Big K.R.I.T. Is Playing A Free Show In Brooklyn This Friday

Hot off the heels of his latest LP Cadillactica, Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. is coming to New York City this Friday (July 31) as a part of the Celebrate Brooklyn summer music series – and yes, the show is free.

K.R.I.T. will be playing alongside Michigan rapper Angel Haze, who just released the single “Impossible” yesterday (July 28) and Regg Roc Gray’s dance group The D.R.E.A.M. Ring.

Celebrate Brooklyn was founded by BRIC, a 35-year-old Brooklyn-based non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the world to Brooklyn’s front door. There are various free and/or low-cost performances in Prospect Park every summer. Last year featured Janelle Monáe and Deltron 3030, to name a few. This year, Shabazz Palaces will be closing the series out.

Aside from an optional $3 donation to the foundation at the door, this show is f-r-e-e, so if you’re in the area and in the mood for some trunk-knocking tunes, come through.
