Azealia Banks Can’t Release New Music Until March 2016

Azealia Banks assured her fans they bet on the right horse when her long-awaited debut album Broke With Expensive Taste dropped last year, but it’s looking like it’ll be the last we hear from her until early next year.

Banks took to Twitter last week (August 6) to let her fans know that her manager has her in a music release holding pattern:

This means that we won’t be getting Banks’ next commercial project, Business & Pleasure, until at least March of 2016; whether or not we’re still getting that Jay-Z covers tape Slay-Z or the sequel to Fantasia remains to be seen. This news is on top of the fact that equally controversial songstress K. Michelle dropped out of their upcoming joint tour scheduled for this fall, but Banks and her team are fighting to keep some of the dates as part of a briefer solo tour throughout the US.
