Will Smith’s 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of the most beloved television shows of the 20th century, and because everything old is new again, we may be seeing it back on screens soon.
TV Line reports that Will Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment is in very early talks to develop a reboot of the series “that puts a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series.” The pitch is being finalized and is going to be shopped around networks in the coming weeks.
No word as to whether or not this will be a hard reset with a new Fresh Prince or if it will be a continuation like Netflix’s upcoming Fuller House. While we’re at it, what’s Jaleel White up to these days? The world could use some more Family Matters.
