Jay Rock’s 90059 Features Black Hippy, Vince Staples, & Busta Rhymes

Of the four members of the LA-based collective Black Hippy, Jay Rock’s been the quietest music wise. Kendrick, ScHoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul have all released albums inside the last two years (the most recent being K.Dot’s To Pimp A Butterfly), but Jay Rock’s finally ready to join his brothers with his sophomore LP 90059 – and it looks like they’ll be joining him, too.

After the listening session Rock had for his album in LA yesterday (Sunday, August 16), Real 92.3’s Rikki Martinez and writer Andres Tardio took to Twitter to reveal features.

There’s a Black Hippy posse cut and individual features from Top Dawg Entertainment family Kendrick, Q, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, as well as New York giant Busta Rhymes and Long Beach’s own Vince Staples.

Rumor has it that Rock will be dropping the album this Friday August 21, but it’s anyone’s guess at this point. Here’s hoping we just get to hear it at some point.
