Kanye West is yet another MC we can add to the ever-growing list of artists who have albums trapped in release date purgatory, but that doesn’t seem to be hurting his sales in any kind of way.
“Only One” and “All Day,” two singles he’s released for his upcoming album SWISH (Formerly known as So Help Me God), both went gold late last month, according to Forbes; quicker than any of the hit singles from West’s last project Yeezus from 2013, including “Bound 2,” “Black Skinhead,” “Blood On The Leaves,” and “New Slaves.”
Yeezy’s continued sales success, regardless of the fact that fans haven’t heard anything substantial about SWISH since March, shows just how hungry his fans are for new material. If you’re listening ‘Ye, quit focusing your attention on the Yeezy Boosts and give us SWISH, already!!
