Chicago’s ADD-2 Lands Punches In Bunches On “Set It Off”

ADD-2 has been impressing me with his wordplay since his collaborative project with Khrysis, Between Heaven & Hell. Now the Chicago lyricist is setting up the release of his latest project Prey For The Poor with a 9th Wonder produced missile called “Set It Off.”

Over floating chants and a subterranean bass line ADD-2 bears his teeth with the hardest verse of the week easy:   “Yo, hate to pop your balloon, but your favorite rapper’s a coon/ you hear the things that he spit?/well if he really keep it real, then really he’s like a snitch, right? /Rappers that you praise and put your faith in/ I listen to their verse and it sound like an affidavit…Say you paintin’ pictures I’m looking at you with blank stares/you ain’t killin’ nothin, your verses just learned to play dead…

Pre-order Prey For The Poor on iTunes before its September 4th release
