The Internet Serenades NPR With Live Rendition Of “Girl” [LISTEN]

We’ve been playing Ego Death by California soul outlet The Internet cover to cover ever since it dropped back in June. Their third studio album since Purple Naked Ladies in 2011 and Feel Good in 2013, their sound is continuing to flesh itself out through solid production, tight band dynamics, and vocals from Syd “Tha Kid” Bennett.

The band, fronted by Bennett and Matt “Martians” Martin, stopped by NPR earlier this week and gave us a live rendition of “Girl,” their song co-produced by Kaytranada, and it’s just as serene and intoxicating live as it is on record.

Check the video out below and make sure to catch them on tour throughout the U.S. and Europe this fall.
