Infamous Harlem Gangster Alberto “Alpo” Martinez Is Free From Jail And In Witness Protection

If you’ve seen the Roc-A-Fella movie Paid In Full, then you know the story of Alberto “Alpo” Martinez, the infamous Harlem gangster who ran with fellow drug kingpins Azie “AZ” Faison and Rich Porter. Alpo ran things uptown and in D.C. before the cops came down on him in 1991. He subsequently became known as a snitch and the guy who killed his friend Rich.

Now he’s free from prison and in witness protection, according to Don Diva. He was allegedly released in 2011 and has been in hiding ever since. Watch a documentary about Alpo below. His history is the stuff of rap lore.
