Netflix Data Reveals Which Shows Are The Most Addictive


At the moment, Netflix is the undisputed ruler of streaming services; dictating the binge-watching schedules of millions of people around the world. Today, Indiewire got in touch with the streaming giant about which of the service’s most popular shows have the highest rate of hooking a viewer early on. That being said, the earliest a show hooks massive amounts of people tends to be the second episode, not the pilot.

“Given the precious nature of primetime slots on traditional TV, a series pilot is arguably the most important point in the life of the show,” Chief Content Officer Ted Saranos elaborated in a statement. “However, in our research of more than 20 shows across 16 markets, we found that no one was ever hooked on the pilot. This gives us confidence that giving our members all episodes at once is more aligned with how fans are made.” Here’s the list of shows studied and how soon they caught you wasting all your time blowing through the season:
