That “New Big K.R.I.T.” Album Might Not Be As Real As It Looks

UPDATE: K.R.I.T. tells the Charlotte Observer “The other album [All My Life] doesn’t have anything to do with me.”

Mere hours after Big K.R.I.T. dropped a surprise new mixtape It’s Better This Way yesterday, reports started popping up of a new album from the Mississippi MC set to drop in November called All My LifeThere’s an official link up for pre-order on iTunes with songs that seem to have never been released before. There’s just one problem – the whole thing looks sus as fuck.

First off, that album cover. My god, it’s trash. Second of all, the label releasing the project is listed as RBC Records, an indie with a troubled past. Back in 2009, Freeway called them out for promoting and releasing Streetz Is Mine, an unauthorized compilation of songs that he did not approve for release. N.O.R.E. said the exact same thing in 2009 about an album RBC was promoting called S.O.R.E.

We’ve reached out to Big K.R.I.T.’s management and RBC Records for comment. Neither have gotten back to us yet. Watch Freeway and N.O.R.E. talk about these situations below.
