A judge in Bulloch County, Georgia has denied bail to Kiari Cephus, better known as Offset of Atlanta trio Migos, for the third time. Offset appeared in court on October 9 to seek bond for gun and drug charges stemming from the arrest of all three rappers at Spring Bling back in April. Officers smelled marijuana coming from the vans the group arrived in, and guns and illegal drugs were subsequently found in the vehicles.
Offset has been held without bond due to previous convictions, and after reportedly attacking another inmate on May 2 he incurred further charges, including riot in a penal institution and battery.
Although witnesses testified that Offset did not incite a riot, the judge said he’d review footage of the incident before deciding whether to grant bond.
Offset’s charges include marijuana possession, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, carrying a weapon in a school safety zone (felony), possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, battery and riot in a penal institution.
