Skepta Reportedly Signs To Drake’s OVO Sound

Earlier this week Skepta held a viewing session for his Top Boy documentary (above), produced by Noisey. Broadcaster and columnist Jasmine Dotiwala attended the screening, and it looks like she scored one hell of a scoop: Skepta is apparently signed to Drake’s record label.

Grime rappers like Chip, Jammer, and J2K were there as the documentary showed footage of Skepta touring the U.S., but the best part of the night is when, according to Dotiwala, Skepta said, “Drake’s been repping me hard. So now I’m on his record label.”

If that’s true, it makes sense. Drake’s been Skepta’s biggest advocate in recent months, hopping on remixes with him and playing his music on OVO Sound, let alone getting a BBK tattoo. But nothing official has been announced, and Noisey didn’t write up the news, so this could be a false alarm.
