Kendrick Lamar And J. Cole Collab Coming February, According To Kendrick’s Sister

For Black Friday this year, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole dropped remixes to each other’s songs, as Cole went over “Alright” and Kendrick went over “Tale of 2 Citiez.” At the end of Cole’s track, he says, “But this February, bet shit get scary when I fuck around and drop the…” Then the song cuts off.

It seems like he was talking about a collaboration with Kendrick, because last night Kendrick’s little sister Kayla let it slip on Instagram that a collab between Cole and K. Dot is dropping February 16. She quickly deleted it off her Instagram post, but not before someone caught a snapshot:

Whether it’s the long-awaited collaboration album that we’ve wanted from Cole and Kendrick since the day they premiered “Temptation” back in 2011 or just a song is yet to be known.

In addition, another member of Kendrick’s family let it slip that the verse Kendrick spit in the “Alright” video is actually part of a longer, different track with a full length of 2:53, according to Kendrick’s nephew. Hopefully we get that soon as well.

Hear “Temptation” from Cole and Kendrick below and watch the “Alright” video after that to hear K. Dot verse we’re talking about.
