This just in: Cam Newton is good – like, really good! The 26- year-old field general has led his team, the Carolina Panthers, to an undefeated 13-0 record and basically turned the NFL into his own personal playground. Oh, and he’s had plenty of fun while he’s done it!

As the 2015 NFL regular season slowly comes to a close, we’re left to evaluate teams who’ll be competing for Super Bowl contention, and those already preparing for the draft. We’ve learned that injuries are a major part of a team’s success, and who can rise to the occasion when such adverse situations present themselves. Many people thought the Carolina Panthers would be a middle of the pack type of team after losing their prized star wide receiver, Kelvin Benjamin, to a torn ACL. The second-year pro accounted for over 1,000 receiving yards and 9 TD’s in a very promising rookie campaign. Surely this loss was going to crush the Carolina Panthers offense, which would have to lean heavily on its All-Pro tight end Greg Olsen, in terms of catching passes. But as the immortal Jay Z once said: “I had to take off the blazer, loosen up the tie/Step inside the booth, Superman is alive!” The man of steel is indeed alive and he resides in Carolina, by the name of Cameron Newton. Here are five reasons Killa Cam is your undisputed NFL MVP for the 2015-16 season.

5. “Men lie, women lie/Numbers don’t!”

Picture this: You’re an NFL QB that is tasked with leading his team to a Super Bowl, but I tell you that you’d have to do so without your best Wide Receiver, and we’re cutting your help at running back in half! How would you respond to something like that? If you’re Cam Newton, you account for over 3,500 total yards and 35 touchdowns, while leading your team to a 13-0 record. Check these numbers: Over the last four games, Cam’s accounted for 15 total touchdowns, including two games with five passing scores in each. Oh, and we forgot to mention that Carolina’s lead man is throwing to Ted Ginn Jr., Corey “Philly” Brown and rookie Devin Funchess, as his starting wide receivers. It’s fine, we’ll wait for you to google those guys.

4. The World Is Dabbing!

In case you’ve been under a rock, there’s a new dance that’s pulled up a chair next to the “Whip & Nae Nae” and it’s called “The Dab.” Kudos to Migos and Future for introducing us to this simple form of expression, but it’s Cam Newton who’s taken it to new heights. The Atlanta native has always immersed himself within the latest waves in pop culture. The QB would often celebrate his scores with some sort of dance and Superman-like pose, and this year he’s got the entire world dabbing. From the team owner, to news and sportscaster’s all over the world, Killa Cam has people across the globe celebrating along with him.

3. Cam loves the kids!

While the Carolina Panthers QB celebrates his touchdowns with an expressive dance, he also gives each game ball to children in the stands. Additionally, his charity fed nearly 900 underprivileged kids in the Charlotte area during the Thanksgiving holiday. And before each game, Cam speaks to the children in attendance and offers them words of encouragement, while having a little fun with them. How could you not cheer for a guy like this?

2. A True Leader

While the stout defensive unit assembled in Charlotte has lots to do with the team’s success, it’s Newton’s leadership that’s kept this franchise rolling. Week in and week out, he’s proven that he belongs towards the top of the list in terms of elite passers in the NFL. The dual-threat QB found his team struggling early in the game against New Orleans. It actually appeared as though this game would be the one that blemished their perfect season. Cam went on to pass for 331 yards and 5 TD’s as the Panthers secured a 41-38 victory over their division opponent. This was just another adverse situation where Newton rallied the troops and showed the league that his team was for real.

1. He turns his haters into fans

With all the numbers and statistics backing Cam’s candidacy as the NFL’s league MVP, it’s his character that’s pushed him over-the-top. His love for his community is well-documented, but his approach to the game is something that deserves attention. In a league where domestic violence and drug-related offenses are reported on a yearly basis, Cam has proven that you can achieve the highest accolades imaginable, while conducting yourself as an upstanding citizen. His almost child-like energy and on-field excitement remind you that it’s still a kid’s game and what true sportsmanship means. And not all fans have been thrilled by his outward displays of jubilation. A Tennessee mother attended a Panthers/Titans game earlier in the season and took it upon herself to pen a letter to the star QB, informing him of her displeasure with his celebratory methods on the field. The letter came off as a racist parent that didn’t like some black guy playing well and showing up her beloved Titans. Cam would have been well within his rights to call out Ms. Rosemary Plorin for her racial undertones, but like a true man of integrity, Newton responded in a very classy manner.

Plorin swallowed a slice of humble pie and her response to Newton sounded like a person who was shocked by his level of education and maturity, despite what he may have felt in his heart. I really appreciate his comments and his respect for my thoughts, and I was impressed with the sensitivity and graciousness with which he spoke. I am sorry I didn’t understand him better until this week. It is clear from his remarks that he recognizes his leadership role, both on and off the field, and that he truly cares about the kids watching him.”

These are only five reasons among many more that can be made in Cam Newton’s favor. And despite how you much you love your team and/or favorite player, it’s tough not to cheer on a guy like him. Sure, you’d love to see your team bring home this year’s Super Bowl, but there’s a big man doing something special in Carolina. Keep dabbin’ on’em, Killa!
