Jerry Heller Thinks He And Eazy-E Were Portrayed Badly In Straight Outta Compton

As much attention as the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton drew last year, not all of it has been positive. Former manager Jerry Heller, played in the film by Paul Giamatti, took to TMZ earlier today (January 7) to further vent his frustrations with the film.

“They’re not only saying things about me that aren’t true, but things that are demeaning and degrading,” Heller said. He believes that it was a combination of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Eazy-E’s widow who portrayed both Heller – and Eazy – in a negative light. “I’m very proud of the work he did, and I’m very proud of the success that Ice Cube has had,” Heller continued. “They have no reason to be saying those things about me…It’s always easier to take shots at the white Jew.”

Heller was already apprehensive about the film to begin with; last year, he said that he’d be watching the film with his lawyers in case he was portrayed badly. Watch the interview above.
