Freddie Gibbs & Madlib Reunite For Kanye West Remix “Cocaine Parties In LA”

Has it really been almost two years since Piñata dropped? The Freddie Gibbs/Madlib collaborative project was a dusty blaxploitation-laced match made in heaven for hip-hop fans when it dropped in 2014. With Kanye West going in on the Madlib-produced “No More Parties In LA,” Gangsta Gibbs decided he wanted in on some of the fun, too

He went right to the source for the nearly five-year-old beat for his remix “Cocaine Parties In LA,” yet another example of Gibb’s raw skill on the mic. Rapping circles around the competition and dropping Macklemore and Stacey Dash references feels like second nature to him now, but we’re glad to get the runoff. Give it a listen above.

Gibbs’s latest solo album Shadow Of A Doubt dropped this past November.
