Freddie Gibbs Digs Deep Into His Head In The “Freddie Gordy” Video

Freddie Gibbs’ Shadow Of A Doubt proved the ESGN label head’s versatility on the mic last year, and now he’s let the second video for single “Freddie Gordy” go.

We all knew Gibbs has it in him to blend disparate elements together in a story, but “Gordy” takes it to a completely different level, referencing the beginnings of ESGN, addictions faced by him and his loved ones, worrying about his daughter living his lifestyle, and even a cursory shout out to “Black Lives Matter” with nary a hook in sight. It’s an impressive feat given extra weight by the moody and lush Jonah Schwartz-directed video.

Give it a look above and make sure to catch Gangsta Gibbs on the road this spring on the Shadow Of A Doubt tour, including a stop at the Highline Ballroom in NYC.
