TDE Hints At More Kendrick Lamar Music In 2016

Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly ws the only thing Top Dawg Entertainment needed to have a stellar 2015, but it’s looking like Kendrick and the rest of the crew might have 2016 on lock, too.

Outside of expected new releases from ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, and SZA, a new Kendrick project of some kind may also be on the way this year, if Anthony Tiffith’s Instagram is to be believed:

Shit about to get nasty real soon… I told y’all I got y’all in 2016 #TDE

In an interview with the New York Times last year, Kendrick said that he can’t force himself to make new music and that “I have to come from an original and organic place,” but earlier this year on the heels of his untitled song from his Grammys performance, he told 2DopeBoyz that “I got a chamber of material from the album that I was in love where sample clearances or something as simple as a deadline kept it off the album,” so who knows?

Either way, TDE’s 2016 is sure to be even crazier than last year.
