Remember that short film inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city that debuted at the Sundance NEXT festival last August but never made it before the eyeballs of the public? The Kahlil Joseph-directed short has finally found its way online for all to see.
Similar in scope and composition to Joseph’s work on the Flying Lotus-inspired Until The Quiet Comes short (which also debuted at Sundance a few year prior), the short is all beautifully shot trips through the streets of Compton mashed together with archival footage, with the album serving as the score.
What else needs to be said about this? Go check the short film out above.
