Are you a fan of Mobb Deep who lives in the New York area? If so, you’re in luck because the Queensbridge boys are celebrating their debut album The Infmaous in a way they haven’t before – with a live band.
Prodigy and Havoc will perform the legendary project front to back for two nights at the Blue Note Jazz Cafe in New York City backed by the nine-piece Brooklyn band Phony Ppl on April 12 and 13. “My grandfather and my uncle were jazz players,” he said in a press release. “My mom was a member of female R&B group The Crystals back in the 60’s. Live music has been part of my family for generations. Grandpa would be so proud. I am sure he will be clapping from up above.” His grandfather was Budd Johnson and his great-uncle was Keg Johnson.
The shows will also be recorded and released as a live album in the near future. This will be the first time that Mobb Deep’s music will be coming from a live band, so if you’re in the New York area, hop on these tickets now.
