Kevin Hart is one of the hardest working stars in Hollywood, and he’s teaming up with production company Lionsgate to get his own streaming service off the ground.
The Laugh Out Loud video on-demand service is a curatorial effort by Hart and Lionsgate made up of original content starring Hart and others. The first two series will revolve around Hart as an undercover Lyft driver and Vine/Facebook comedian Logan Paul, respectively.
“Lionsgate has always been a great partner of mine, and I’m more than excited to take our business and creative relationship to new levels,” Hart told Variety. “I understand the direction in which the television business is headed, and I see this big new space toward which audiences are starting to gravitate. I believe that launching this venture together now puts us ahead of the pack.”
On top of Laugh Out Loud, Hart and Lionsgate are also working closely with mobile game developer Fifth Journey to develop a mobile game where players can live out stand-up comedy star fantasies, with Hart as their mentor. He and Bryan Cranston are also reported to be starring in a remake of the 2011 French film The Intouchables.
