It’s been 16 months since GS9 rapper Bobby Shmurda was put behind bars for drugs and weapons charges. His much publicized trial has been pushed back more than once to a supposed May 11 date and the offers he’s gotten on his $2 million bail have been shady, to say the least.
“A lot of people came and tried to bail me out but they all trying to offer me shady deals like power of attorney, publishing deals,” Shmurda told Vibe in an exclusive interview. “The only thing I’d give up is management.” He also said that he got two offers that he liked, but the judge overlooking the case managed to poke holes in their stories, a process Shmurda called “bullshit.”
The 21-year-old Brooklyn rapper is also looking to diversify his bonds once he gets out. He’s looking to put on latest GS9 buck Hood Heffner, getting into social activism to help wrongly convicted prisoners, and even real estate (” I might have to go talk to Yo Gotti about some real estate”). Near the end of the interview, he also endorses Hillary Clinton for president, saying she’s “for the people.”
