We’re all still mourning the death of Phife Dawg, co-founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, but we’ll have some new music to hold on to starting tomorrow.
Phife was allegedly working on a new solo project called Give Thanks before his passing, and the first single, produced by J Dilla is premiering on Beats1 tomorrow (April 5). Phife’s official YouTube account dropped a 33-second preview of the single, with short blurbs from Dave form De La Soul, Talib Kweli, fellow ATCQ member Jarobi White, and Ras Kass, among others.
