It’s hard to think about Chance The Rapper without thinking about his trademark White Sox hat that he wears just about everywhere. Yesterday, a trailer dropped announcing three different Social Experiment variants of the classic Sox hat, each limited to 2,000 pieces; but that wasn’t the only big news for Chance.
ESPN reports that Chance might be on the verge of becoming a full-blown club ambassador for the Chicago White Sox, helping raise awareness for the team among Chano’s still growing fanbase. White Sox VP of sales and marketing Brooks Boyer wouldn’t confirm or deny Chance’s involvement with the team, but his name was in his mouth during meetings all of yesterday, the site reports.
The Chicago native is still blazing his own trail through the music industry, with two mixtapes and a free album with his group The Social Experiment to his name. Chano got more shine off of his feature on Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” from The Life Of Pablo earlier this year and he’s expected to drop his highly anticipated third solo project sometime this month, possibly on his birthday (April 16).
