During an interview with the Baltimore Sun, Tate Kobang announced some huge collaborations in the works for his already bright career— including Swizz Beatz as executive producer for his debut album.
The Baltimore native has had a huge year since his standout track, “Bank Rolls,” started making waves . From The Lox hopping on his remix to killing it at SXSW, the 300 Entertainment signee has still made time to show his versatility with his latest mixtape, Since We’re Here.
The 23 year old rapper and Swizz Beatz were seen working together in the studio back in January. According to Kobang, the Ruff Ryders producer was enamored by his vibe, “Swizz was like, “Man, I’ma let you know, I get a million artists come across me every day, and there ain’t nothing special about them. There’s something about you. You it! You got ‘it!’ It is what it is.”
Swizz isn’t the only big name that he’ll be collaborating with. Some remixes for his latest LP will feature Jadakiss, Nelly, and Fabolous. The name of Tate Kobang’s forthcoming debut has yet to be announced, but is set to drop around September.
