Royce Tells The Stories Behind 5 Of His Best Guest Verses

Royce 5′ 9″ is about to release another full clip of armor piercing bars in his latest studio album, Layers. While he has always held down most of his solo projects for dolo, he is faithful to the credo that “steel sharpens steel,” always rapping alongside the best in the business.

In our first video edition of our popular “Spot Rusherz” column, Royce 5′ 9″ tells us the stories behind five of his most potent guest appearances on record.

“If you the kind of rapper who worries about whether you have the best verse, it’s tough,” Royce tells us. “It’s tough to rap beside Pharoahe Monch, Tariq [Black Thought], Marshal [Eminem], all of Slaughter House. My whole career is just stress, man,” he concludes with a bejeweled grin. “It’s stressful.”
