K-Salaam Brings His Music Production Class Back To NYU


Producer/DJ K-Salaam has worked with countless MCs over the years, especially as one-half of Beatnick & K-Salaam Productions. The Minnesota native is also an adjunct professor at NYU’s Tisch School Of The Arts, where his music production class is in its second year.

The Virtual Producer: Beats and Beatmaking W/ K-Salaam runs from June 13 – July 1 at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. “You do NOT have to be an NYU Student in order to sign up,” Salaam stresses in a press statement. “For the record, I custom designed this class myself (created the curriculum, syllabus, etc.) I will mainly be focusing on: Music Theory, Sample Chopping / Sample Manipulation, Sound Design, Drum Programming, and Mixing Techniques.
