Afrika Bambaataa Discusses Child Molestation Allegations

Update: Last night, Afrika Bambaataa made his first television appearance since child molestation allegations. “They just going along with he say/she say,” says the MC. During a clip from the Lisa Evers conducted interview, Bambaataa referred to the numbers claims against him as gossip.

Checkout the whole interview below:

Afrika Bambaataa’s sexual abuse problems are becoming more and more complicated. Lord Shariyf, a man claiming to be a former bodyguard of Bambaataa’s, was interviewed by Star about the mounting allegations. Over the course of his tenure with the Zulu Nation, Shariyf (also a co-founder of the group) calls the Planet Rock artist a pedophile outright and claims to have walked in on some uncomfortable things. ““I can say I’ve walked in on stuff where I say, what the fuck is going on?,” he elaborated.

Shariyf further stated that Bambaataa’s had “hundreds” of underage victims since the 70s, even taking some of them overseas with him on trips. “There’s always a boy in his house,” Shariyf continued. “When he leaves and gets home, there’s always a boy there. I’ve seen them camped, asking him for money. He travels with late teens. Those are the ones he takes overseas with him. When I went with him on tour in the states, I would stay in one room and he would have boys in the room with him.”

Shariyf even says that he attempted to convince the Zulu Nation to take Bam to trial over his actions and that their refusal led to him cutting all ties with the Nation in 2007. This is only gonna get worse before/if it gets better.
