In an exclusive interview with GQ, Bobby Shmurda and his management team touched on Bobby’s loyalty to GS9 and the events that lead to his arrest.
One of Bobby’s managers, Donny Flores recalled an incident back in 2014 where he caught some of the NYPD dancing and singing “Hot Nigga” in the precinct. “One cop was like: ‘Oh, my God, this is what my daughter is listening to,” Flores said. “I didn’t know what was going on. Now I know. They targeted him.”
If you’ve been follow Bobby Shmurda’s arrest, then you know the Brooklyn rapper has been sitting in jail without a trial since December 17th, 2014. He’s currently being held on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, multiple weapons possession, and reckless endangerment.
Though he’s been away for a while, Bobby is holding his head up. Not only is the Epic signee creating films, he’s reportedly suing the NYPD for being unfairly targeted. With his trial now scheduled for September 12th, hopefully Bobby will remain positive.
