UPDATE 7/24/2016: Earlier this afternoon, OVO fans ran up on Joe Budden and filmed him on Snapchat at his home. He hopped out of his car and chased them down the street before delivering a death threat. Check out the madness below.
Fellow Slaughterhouse member Royce 5’9″ shot this out not too long after:
Update 7/22/16: If you thought Drake wasn’t going to respond to Joe Budden, you were wrong. Last night at the Dallas stop of his Summer Sixteen tour, Drake had a few words for the New Jersey rapper. In the short clip, Drake tells the crowd “I should have brought Joe Budden up here and let him do ‘Pump It Up’ one time.” The OVO rapper went on to mimic the chorus before he dropped a slick “Fuck them niggas,” and carried on with the show.
In response to the release of his previous diss tracks, Joe Budden has mentioned that he has plenty on dirt and more diss tracks ready to go. He took to Twitter to respond to Drake’s shots with a simple “He want some attention lol.”
Be on the lookout for another Joe Budden diss track very soon.
Fans finally got to hear the song that seemed to have set off the Budden vs Drake beef. French Montana’s song “No Shopping” premiered on OVO Sound radio tonight and contained the alleged Budden diss:
Pump, pump, pump it up
She got a good head on her but I pump it up
I’m not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff
You let me turn into the n*gga that you almost was
Drake is believed to be responding to Budden’s critiques of his album “Views” from his podcast…
…and Budden, who says he knew this song was coming, has responded with the track, “Afraid.”
Yeah Aubrey that’s the one we trusted
Not this new Aubrey with his stomach sculpted
I’m disgusted, you’re such a fuckin’ incumbent
Can’t govern, trust in the public becoming a fucking puppet
It’s bigger than rap battles, a word for the digital cash castle…
Update: Joe Budden is back at it again with his latest Drake diss, “Wake.” On the araabMUZIK produced track, Joe not only challenges Drizzy but also touches on his relationships with PartyNextDoor, The Weeknd, and Fetty Wap.
“We want a Party album/ But you keep stealing all of Party album/To go and put it on your party album.”
Sheesh. While we wait to see if Drake will respond to Joe, take a listen to “Wake” below:
The old adage that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is one Joe Budden does not adhere to. On the new track “Making A Murderer” The Slaughter House MC has puts his podcast critiques of Drake to a beat, and throws some sideways jabs at Meek Mill in the process. Genius.com has transcribed all of the lyrics here.
I’m right here per your request, now you stuck in them shoes
No alliances with Meek, it’s still fuck him too
Before we start, to the fans, I’m uncomfortable too
Stuck in the booth feelin’ like y’all cause I got love for the dude
But now my phone blowin’ up, they’re like what I’m gonna do?
Show the world you shouldn’t poke a man with nothin’ to lose
All of this just because I wasn’t in love with his Views
Whatever happened, I just know they got me fuckin’ confused, hey…
Meek has already released one response to Joe’s statement on his podcast that he was “70 bars into a Meek diss” and Joe responded on Twitter before today. Meek only had this to say on Instagram today:
“He’s been dead since 2003 it’s evident …. We don’t talk to dead people unless they presidents.”
The question remains, will Drake will respond to this direct diss?
