In an interview with i-D, YG explained how he got Macklemore and G-Eazy on “FDT” and why he’s decide to speak out against Trump.
“They’re the two biggest white rappers in the game,” he said. “I’m like, if I get two of the biggest white rap dudes in the game on this “Fuck Donald Trump” record, that shit is gonna mean something,” he finished. “So I was like, “Bro, you support Trump?” and he was like “Fuck no!”,” YG said on getting Macklemore on the controversial track.
YG went onto discuss his line of FDT shirts, protesting and much more. You can read the full interview here and watch the visuals to “FDT (Part 2) below:
YG has made it very clearly that he is not a fan of Donald Trump. Today, Macklemore and G-Eazy are added to the list of rappers who don’t fuck with Trump as they jump on the “FDT” remix.
On Part 2 of “FDT,” G-Eazy raps questions how Trump made it so far in the election. “If truth be told, Donald is a terrorist/ Reasons why the world’s got a problem with Americans/The fuck is goin’ on? People just passed/ A mass murder happened, you said thanks for the congrats.” Macklemore steps into the second verse in full support of Clinton rapping, “Party in the streets when Hillary wins/If she don’t, my girl’s half Canadian.”
YG closes out the third verse reminding the people of his reasons for being Anti-Trump. “His favorite phrase, “Deport ’em,” how the fuck y’all endorse him?/Since America is fucked up anyway/ Give Obama a third term, that’s what plenty say.”
