Cam’ron Talks Drake And How Jim Jones Is “Still My Man”

Cam'ron Jim Jones

Update: In part 2 of his interview with This Is 50, Cam’ron touches on ending his beef with 50 Cent.

Cam’ron surprised New York City when he showed up as a guest at Drake’s final “Summer Sixteen” show as Madison Square Garden this past Monday (August 8). He had his Dipset brother Juelz Santana in tow to perform “Oh Boy,” “Hey Ma,” and “Gangsta Music,” but many people noticed that Jim Jones didn’t come out with them. Considering their on again off again beef, Cam’ron gave an interesting answer.

“Juelz called me and said ‘yo, Drake wants you to come out at the show tonight,'” Cam told Thisis50.com. “Everybody wants a long drawn-out story…I didn’t even speak to Drake but on the stage.” Cam didn’t even know that Jim was in the audience until people started commenting on Instagram.

Cam and Jim have been through some rough times recently, but Cam is willing to let bygones be bygones. “I know Jim mom and kids and sisters. I wouldn’t go hard on Jim because that’s still my man, regardless of what people see in public or the media,” he continued. “I’ll go at war with anybody, but I’m not doin’ it with him…Every family got issues or whatever, but for us it isn’t for everybody to know.”

This comes on the heels of Cam settling his beef with 50 Cent earlier today (August 10) via joking Instagram posts.

Regardless of how cool he and Jim are, just don’t expect a new Dipset album anytime soon.
