Nas is having one of the best years of his career. Between the growing ubiquity of the Bevel shaving system, his Netflix series “The Getdown” premiering last month, his Ghostbusters inspired clothing line, releasing J-Dilla’s The Diary on Mass Appeal Records and stealing the spotlight on DJ Khaled’s album with “Nas Album Done” 2016 has been the perfect set-up for a heavily anticipated return to music.
“It’s been five years since I dropped the first Found Tapes and we still haven’t got a Lost Tapes 2 album from Nasty Nas,” he says. “I had no plans to follow up my first drop figuring by now we’d have that next Lost Tapes album. But with it still nowhere on the horizon, I decided to put together another mixtape of unreleased Nas songs.
So here it is Nas: The Found Tapes Vol. 2 a collection of unreleased songs properly labeled and in the CDQ form Nas fans deserve to hear them in.”
