UPDATE: Danny Brown just dropped Atrocity Exhibtion‘s second single “Pneumonia” featuring ScHoolboy Q. Clanging bells and Germlins references abound on this one. Peep it below

Detroit bruiser extraordinaire Danny Brown has been keeping the world in the dark about new music for a minute, but that silence stops at the end of next month. In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, Danny revealed that his third studio album Atrocity Exhibition is set to drop on September 30, almost three years after his last effort Old.

Danny Brown Atrocity Exhibition

“At the end of the day, its just something that I really took my time with,” Danny told RS. “I know this day and age, a lot of artists can’t really take time off to make music … they’ll get replaced. With me, [I’m] somebody that’s able to sit down and be able to take my time, ’cause aint nobody gonna be out here sounding like me, ain’t nobody gonna be out here doing what I do. I’m confident in this project to know that I’mma satisfy the people that’s already fans of my music. So, if you’re a fan of Danny Brown, you in for a treat.”

The list of collabs makes all that effort seem worthwhile. We can expect guest features from Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt & Ab-Soul (all on the same song!!!!), Kelela, ScHoolboy Q, Petite Noir, and B-Real of Cypress Hill, but that’s not all. Atrocity is sporting production from Black Milk, Alchemist, Evian Christ, and Paul White. Danny’s tastes have always been varied enough to always keep even hardcore fans guessing, and with influences the likes of Joy Division, Bjork, Raekwon, System Of A Down, and the Talking Heads, we’re in for a wild ride.
