Kaytranada Drops Some 90’s Inspired Visuals to “You’re The One”

Update: Kaytranada is back at it again with the visuals to his 99.9% track, “You’re the One” featuring Syd from The Internet. Directed by Shomi Patwary, the 90’s inspired video focuses on one woman’s full day after being chosen by a rich prince.

Kaytranada has seen a huge profile increase this year. The Haitian-Canadian producer/DJ released his debut album 99.9% via XL Recordings in May, came out of the closet in a Fader interview and won Canada’s top music prize this past weekend, all a testament to his ridiculous work ethic. His Soundcloud page alone is enough evidence, but he still teased new music.

Today (September 21), four months worth of teasing has led to 0.001%, an 87-minute stream of beats new and old, the vast majority of which presumably didn’t make the cut for 99.9%. Re-used beats include the sound beds for songs by Freddie Gibbs (there’s a Free Freddie Gibbs plug in there, too), Mick Jenkins, Chance The Rapper and more. The project has only one caveat:
