We’ve been keeping you updated on all news on The Gorillaz forthcoming album for some time now. Today, it looks like the group may have announced the title of their new album, The Book of Noodle. The group is currently breaking down the story of Noodle— the lead guitarist of the group. Check out the story behind The Book of Noodle here.
Update: It looks like The Gorillaz may be going on tour! According to Dancing Astronaut, super fan and Redditor, Eskido found code on The Gorillaz official website titled “Gorillaz Live” that insinuates the group will be hitting the road soon.
The “Clint Eastwood” band has been sharing a timeline of their discography on their new Instagram. Hopefully, they’ll end their timeline with a release date for their forthcoming album.
No tour dates have been confirmed by the band just yet, but we will keep you posted.
In an interview with Pitchfork, Pos of De La Soul spoke about future collaborations— one of them being with The Gorillaz. “We’re about to be on the new Gorillaz album,” he said. “Snoop was also performing on the record when we were over there.”
The legendary lyricist also casually mentioned that the group has heard part of The Gorillaz highly anticipated album already— and its good. “We actually sat down with Damon two weeks ago and he played us some of the new Gorillaz album, and it sounds amazing.”
With Vic Mensa rumored to be on the album as well, its safe to say that the upcoming album will be a classic.
Update 7/19/16: In an new interview with BBC Radio, The Gorillaz’ Damon Albarn has announced that the group’s forthcoming album “should be ready fairly soon.” This album — which is rumored to feature Vic Mensa— will be the follow up to the 2010 Plastic Beach.

What a time to be on Instagram.
Back in 2015, Hewlett and Albarn dropped hints that a Gorillaz project was definitely in the works. Earlier today, the men behind “Feel Good Inc” —Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn— took to Instagram to share behind the scenes footage of them working in the studio.
In the videos, you can see the artists playing around with a melody— which may featured on the upcoming project. Though there’s no release date or hints at any collaborations just yet, the fact that we will be getting a follow-up to 2011’s studio album, The Fall, is enough to be excited about.
