Mickey Factz Changed His Mind On Trump & Hillary

In part two of our Verse Behavior with Bronx MC Mickey Factz, he talks about more of the lines in his song “414 Words.” In the verse he shares some misgivings about the political climate and whether this is the ideal environment to raise a child.

America about to vote Trump instead of Hillary
What happened to the dignity, somebody gotta tell me before I have me a mini-me
And be a faja, like Mike Myers minus being the monster…

America about to vote Trump instead of Hillary

“There is a part in the song that I did want to edit. That was the ‘vote for Trump instead of Hillary’…I didn’t want to vote for either one of them. But I was writing so fast at the time I got caught up. It is what it is. People still like it so I’m cool with that.”

What happened to the dignity, somebody gotta tell me before I have me a mini-me

“That’s something my wife and I are planning to do in the the next [few] years. I’m looking at America and what’s going on with America and saying damn, how is it going to be as a Black man raising a child in this society right now. That’s why I put that in there.”

And be a faja, like Mike Myers minus being the monster…

“It’s also a double entendre as well. You think about Mini-Me you think of Mike Myers in Austin Powers [edit note: The Mini-Me character is played by actor Verne Troyer]. But when you think of Mike Myers it’s also a term for Michael Myers in Halloween. That’s why ‘Mike Myers minus being a monster.’

It’s knots in my heart, these words are in the prison/Reflecting prism

When you think knots in my heart I was emotional writing it. And of course it’s also metaphorical because Nottz helped me put together this album. So he’s in my heart at this point. He means a lot to me. [the words] are in a prison and me speaking on it is letting these lyrics come out. And it’s reflecting like a prism to everybody that listens. So it’s N-o-t-t-z and k-n-o-t-s. I’m a homonym fanatic.
