If you’ve been wanting to see All Eyez on Me, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. The highly anticipated Tupac biopic has finally got a release date. According to actor Dominic Santana, who will be playing Suge Knight, All Eyez on Me will be dropping on Tupac’s birthday on June 16th, 2017.
Checkout the trailer below:
Get ready it’s coming. And please no whining about the date. It’s Pac’s b day. We’re all anxious for it to come out but people gotta remember it’s a major film and there’s a lot of process to releasing major films. Because it was Tupac a lot of buzz was created word of mouth even while we were filming which usually doesn’t happen until a movie is about to come out. This was no regular movie so you’ve been hearing about it since we started. It’s actually right on par with the timing to release a major film after you wrap shooting. So relax and look for the formal announcement soon and actual promotion to start coming out. #AllEyezOnMe #tupac #movie #instagood #followme
It’s finally here. After more false starts and production woes than we can count , we finally have a teaser trailer for the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me just in time for what would’ve been the late MC’s 45th birthday. It may only be a minute long, but we get good shots of Danai Gurira as Pac’s late mother Afeni Shakur and Demetrius Shipp, Jr. as the man himself.
Eyes has gone through a rolodex of directors including Antoine Fuqua, John Singleton (who’s vowed to make his own more “accurate” version), and Carl Franklin until the rights reverted back to Pac’s estate last year and Benny Boom took a seat in the director’s chair.
Regardless of the fighting it took to get here, we’ll be able to see it soon enough. All Eyez On Me will be in theaters on November 11.
